xau...

Hi :) I am interested in saving up £3,210.54 for a 10oz bar of gold. I am just wondering about obtaining it. I have been told it is the country's obligation via the bank of england to supply me with the gold should I request it upon showing them the currency (3,210.54 sterling GBP). So, can I just walk into any bank (barclays/natwest/hsbc/abbey/etc...) and demand my gold? Any information would greatly be appreciated - please get back to me - many thanks :)

Richard
